Fans of LNER A4 gresely pacific 'Mallard' no.4468, will be glad to hear that the leak that was in her tender has now been fixed. expect Mallard to appear back on the railway very soon! Also, the railways new engine shed for Doncaster Works has been modelled in OO by Hornby! Expect some pictures of the prototypes box soon!
Good news, Anglia Railways 08 shunter 08810 has returned to the railway after 6 years away down at Teddington and a month or two at the West Sussex Railway.LNER 4 wheel coach no.137 will hopefully re-enter service this weekend aswell as the railway seeing it's arrival of BR centenary coach no. W6661W on saturday. We hope to run it with our pullman rake hauled by either Bude or Winsdor Castle but we are not sure yet as to whether it will be in operational use for a week or two due to our carriage works crew not being able to examine it's condition at this moment in time.
Concerning sales now. We aer selling GWR Pannier No.2728. She hasn't run on the railway and needs an overhaul that we nor Teddington TMD can find time to do. We have decided to sell her on and hope that she finds a better home soon. Also, our Virgin Railways 220 voyager unit is still available to purchase.
Two weeks time will see the deportation of the railway's loaned stock from the ABRC. Stock include, Pullman cars Rosmary and 65, Auto Coach No.w194w and BR Ex GER j72 69022.
As you know, we recently purchased a new LNER teak composite coach. Today, we bought a BR Centenery Coach in BR lined crimson with the head boards reading Paddington. "Newport. Cardiff and Swansea". This will be our flagship coach that will run with our pullman services.
